George’s parents distrust technology, but his friendship with Annie and her scientist father, Eric, opens up an unexpected world. Their supercomputer, Cosmos, can create doorways into outer space, taking George on journeys among planets and stars. When someone tries to misuse its power, the adventure becomes a dangerous race involving a black hole. The story combines George’s discoveries with explanations of astronomy and photographs of space.
