Master Draughtsman Series – The Drawings of Jossi Stern / Jossi Stern

A collection of Jossi Stern's drawings of people and places in Israel, accompanied by an introduction by Stephen Longstreet. The introduction discusses Stern's pen-and-ink depictions of rabbinical students, men talking in cafes, women shopping and the architecture of old and new cities. It considers how his drawn line records everyday encounters and the meeting of ancient surroundings with modern Israeli life.
